The Roma are all talking the same Romani language , albeit in dialects and have fiercely preserved their cultural and nationwide identity through centuries of migration from one part of the world to another. While the connection between poverty and mental health difficulties does not imply that all those who stay in conditions of scarcity are mentally ill, for certainly one may be each poor and mentally healthy (simply as one will be rich and experience mental illness), poverty nonetheless exists as a salient danger factor for mental health problems such as psychological trauma, emotional distress and social instability.
