• Turn off Unneeded Lights. Always switch off lights and fan before leaving a room.
• Turn off your monitor if you aren't going to use it for more than 20 minutes, and the whole system if you're not going to use it for more than 2 hours.
• Use a Laptop Instead of a Desktop.
• Turn off your computer at night.
• Replace Tubelights and Bulbs with CFLs (Compact Fluorescent Lamps).
• Install Solar Water Heaters for water heating.
• Install a household based biogas plant where you can use the waste from your house for making gas which can be used in place of LPG in kitchen.
• Switch to Renewable Energy.
• Get an Energy Audit or Carbon Footprint done for your house. (An energy audit will help you determine exactly how much energy you are using, and will identify ways you can reduce it) .
