The two main dances that make up ballroom dancing are The American and the international standard dance. The international ballroom dances have appealed to many individuals. The waltz is basically a dance that is devoid of any dramatic movements. This dance involves movement along a line of dance. The dance is exhibited by a rise and fall action that is achieved by stepping ,sliding and taking a three quarter step. The shoulders of the dancers have to be aligned with the floor in a smooth fashion. The goal is to lengthen each step taken. The first second and third movement upon the beat follow a specific order of stepping on the heel to the ball of the feet ending with a raise to the toes. At the finalization of the third step the dancers should lower their heels to their starting position.
The Viennese waltz is classical and features rotational movements. The partners rotate on the floor while revolving around each other. The pace at which it is performed rivals the classical dance in speed. There is a popular version of it for social events as it is basically not strenuous and can be effected with ease. It portrays elegance and simplicity during its performance that involves graceful movements and sweeping turns.
The foxtrot dance features side steps and walking steps. The characteristic long motions , rise and fall actions basic in the waltz are applied in a smoother fashion. The line of dance is shared from the waltz with the exception of the timing involved. The steps may be quickened or slowed utilizing a beat or two in that order.
People have been more receptive to the tango. This may be attributed to the fact that it can be used to pass romantic messages in the way it is performed. The presence of both parties of the opposite sex is necessitated. It is comprised of distinct dance steps all under the same wing. Depending on the kind, they may be danced in an open or closed embrace. The open embrace leaves a space between the partners while a closed embrace might see them have contact either on the chest or the hips.The ballroom dance encompasses movements that convey feelings that have not been uttered.
